Drift v. 3.7 has some exciting new features!
~ New, intuitive control scheme that links all motion to the player’s perspective.
~ Accelerometer to assist player in gauging his or her orientation
~ Multitool, with the first impressions of the “Jackhammer”
~ Introduced new sound files – breathing, jackhammer noises, “musical” blocks (noise isn’t audible in this video, but expect a new file soon!)
The project is progressing along nicely. Drift has been a source of terrific satisfaction for Eric and I recently, as we see the game that we’d love to play slowly begin to blossom under our eyes. For my part, I’ve had something of a breakthrough working with Unity and Blender, and am excited that all these tedious tutorials are starting to pay off. Speaking of “payoff” Eric and I hope to get a build out for public consumption soon, so that you folks can be as excited about our project as we are.
More to come soon.
